and unrealistic shipping fees; plain and simple. We here at LSDiodes,
being consumers ourselves, acknowledge how obnoxious this is.
Our shipping calculations frequently change as we attempt to perfectly
mold them to our customers' habits in hopes of maximizing cost versus
quantity. Below is how your shipping fees are currently determined.

Some items, such as our automotive applications, are significantly heavier than our other items as they are made of multiple LEDs. These products, with respect to shipping, will individually count as multiple items instead of just one. This helps compensate for their relatively larger weight. The number of items they assume is their "shipping weight." You may view an item's shipping weight by viewing its info page. If no shipping weight is stated than the item assumes a regular value of one. The shipping weight is not an actual unit of measurement, i.e. grams or ounces, it's just a number used to determine shipping fees.
For example, imagine an order consisting of 10 5mm Blue 5900mcd LEDs and 3 automotive bulbs with a Shipping Value of 7. While there are technically only 13 items in the cart, the automotive bulbs each have a shipping weight of 7 meaning they count as 7 items each. 7 x 3 = 21 so the final order, as far as shipping fees are concerned, has 31 items in the cart. This shipping fee would be $3.
We do not mean to confuse you with all this, your shipping fee will be automatically calculated by our servers. The information above is simply an explanation of what is happening.
The pricing above in the table above is for First Class mail via the United States Postal Service. You will be given other shipping options once your cart is full and you begin the checkout process.
Your LEDs will be shipped 24 - 48 hours from the time of ordering. We sometimes, but not always ship on Saturday as well.
All LEDs are securely shipped protected from ESD damage.
If you are having your order shipped to Mexico or India, a $7 surcharge will be added to your order to cover the cost of sending the goods via registered mail. |
