LEDs
The LEDs shown on the LED page are the products we offer. We are
able to keep prices low by keeping a rather basic, yet unique
selection. All are bright, all are crystal clear. Specifications can be
viewed by clicking on the LED's name. We don't try and hide the
brightnesses of our LEDs like other places try and do because, very
simply, we sell darn bright LEDs and have no reason to hide that.
Brightnesses
Super bright? Ultra bright? Mega Bright? Ridiculously bright! The luminosity
(brightness) of LEDs is measured in millicandela (mcd.) Our weakest
standard LED is 4000 mcd, which is extremely bright. Brighter than any
LED you'll be able to find in Radio Shack. Our white LEDs max at 24,000
mcd; please don't do anything stupid with our brighter LEDs, it is
possible to permanently damage your vision and/or go blind if you stare
directly into the beam of light for an extended period of time.
Diffused?
A diffused LED is one which is 'foggy' colored and designed to have
a large viewing angle yet low brightness. All of the LEDs we sell are
non-diffused, water clear. This means they are perfectly see-through
and thus able to produce as sharp and bright a beam as possible. When
not lit up, all our LEDs look exactly the same. |
